Stream – Avocats & Solicitors, strengthens its workforce, expands its areas of expertise and opens a new office in Bordeaux as of January 1st, 2022.

Stream – Avocats & Solicitors, a key player in both consulting and litigation in transport and energy law continues its development, integrating new skills while strengthening its presence alongside regional players by opening a new office in Bordeaux. Its team is thus expanding with the arrival of 3 new partners, 6 associates and the promotion of 2 former senior associates to the status of partner.

The Insurance Department welcomes two new partners

Arnaud Magerand, who has been working for 20 years in the field of insurance and reinsurance, on behalf of insurers and brokers, and Charles de Corbière, former partner of Villeneau Rohart Simon and active member of the International Bar Association, both join the firm’s Insurance Department to bring their expertise in I.A.R.D, in Construction Insurance as well as in Marine Insurances. These arrivals allow the firm to offer to its clients an ever more complete and exhaustive knowledge and understanding of these key areas of business law.

Arrival of a partner dedicated to the Corporate and M&A Department

Julie Rolet, after spending several years at De Gaulle Fleurance and Altana, will lead Stream’s Corporate and M&A Department as partner. She will develop the Corporate Department dedicated to supporting the growth activities of the firm’s clients by strengthening and complementing the diversity of services offered by Stream thanks to its unparalleled experience. 

Opening of the Business Ethics and Compliance Department 

Anne-Cécile Bannier-Mathieu, who has been working for 10 years in the shipping and trading sectors, opens the Department of Business Ethics and Compliance of Stream, as Counsel. Her arrival will reinforce the firm’s expertise on compliance issues (Sapin 2 law, duty of vigilance, sanctions, embargo, export control etc.) thanks to an expertise developed for many years in Ethics and Compliance. Anne-Cécile is also a sworn mediator in front of French Courts and an ISO 37001 auditor – anti-corruption management system. 

Opening of a new office in Bordeaux  

Stream expands and settles in the heart of Bordeaux, with the opening of its new office, reinforcing its national presence, since the Paris-based firm is already established in Le Havre and Marseille. This expansion characterizes Stream’s geographical dynamism and confirms its desire to offer a tailor-made service, as close as possible to the expectations of its clients. The place of Bordeaux is particularly  renowned in terms of maritime activities, yachting and international trade, corresponding to key sectors of the firm. 

Internal promotion of two senior associates 

In addition, Stream announces the promotions as partners of Patrick Evrard, specialized in maritime law and transport law and Frédérique Heurtel specialized in social law and social law of seafarers, as of January 1, 2022, both associates of Stream for several years and recognized as experts in their field.

First-of-all, the strengthening of the Insurance and Reinsurance Department meets one of our objectives as well as the arrival of a partner dedicated to the Corporate and M&A Department.  In the same way, business Ethics and compliance being today an essential element of competitiveness for companies operating internationally, the creation of this new Department was a necessity.   

 

The opening of the Bordeaux office also allows us to reinforce our territorial presence, to offer services to our clients, always closer to them.
