Lawyer at the Paris Bar / Solicitor of England & Wales (non practising)

Co-founding partner of STREAM, Alexandre advises our clients in our main areas of practice: international trade/commerce and the energy sector, the maritime industry, and insurance, both on projects and in litigation. His clients include commodity traders, energy companies (conventional and renewable energy), ship operators, and insurance companies and brokers.

Alexandre practices French and English law and is frequently involved in cases involving multiple jurisdictions and/or arbitration chambers in several countries.

He studied and worked in the United Kingdom for nearly nine years and has worked in the insurance sector (Lloyd's of London) and the energy sector (in the crude oil and derivatives trading department of the energy company TOTAL). He was recently seconded for six months to the LNG trading desk of the energy company ENGIE.

In addition to his in-depth knowledge of the trading industry, he has extensive experience in complex insurance litigation, both on warranty issues and recourse issues. He also has recognized expertise in charter and tonnage contracts and shipbuilding contracts, both in negotiating and drafting them and in managing the disputes that may arise from them, both before state courts and in arbitration.

His litigation practice has led him to represent clients in person before French and English state courts (and in many other countries with foreign colleagues) and in more than 100 arbitrations in Paris, London, Singapore, Geneva, and Zurich under the auspices of the ICC, LMAA, LCIA, CAMP, SIAC, SCMA, WIPO, and in ad hoc arbitrations.
