The first large ro-ro cargo ship designed to sail mainly under wind power, this vessel – equipped with the innovative AeolDrive/Solid Sail propulsion system developed by Chantiers de l’Atlantique – represents a major step forward in the energy transition of maritime transport.
Delivered at the end of September by the Turkish shipyard RMK Marine, nine months after its launch, this 136-metre sailing cargo ship is preparing to launch its first transatlantic route between Saint-Nazaire, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon and the United States.
With this new generation of sailing cargo ships, Neoline offers a sustainable alternative to international freight, combining technological innovation and respect for the environment.
